The WK&T Tech Park in Mayfield has the potential to be a significant economic engine not only for the local economy, but for Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee as well. By offering essential infrastructure for technology companies, the park will attract new businesses, strengthen existing ones, and foster the growth of new enterprises. Projections show the development could add more than $150 million to the local economy each year.
By establishing a center for innovation and entrepreneurial development, the park will also create new, high-paying jobs and a place for students to learn skills that will make them competitive in the most essential industries. Our estimates show the park could create more than 900 jobs directly and another 600 indirectly.
